Surf Technologies, Inc. President to Discuss Pandemic Planning at Electric Utilities Conference

ATLANTA, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Surf Technologies, Inc. announced today that its President, Jacques Davignon, will be presenting the topic of "Pandemic Preparedness Planning" this week at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) TechAdvantage Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Surf Technologies, Inc. is a leader in business continuity, technology recovery and operational risk management consulting. Mr. Davignon will present an integrated view of planning for the threat of pandemic as part of existing emergency response and business continuity programs.

"Working through a 21st century pandemic is a real possibility for businesses in the U.S. The probability, the magnitude, the timing and the ultimate cause of the 'next' pandemic however are debatable. Therefore the first challenge for executives is to parse out the hype. Secondly, they have to formulate a measured response to planning for this threat as part of existing business continuity initiatives without compromising efforts to mitigate the potential impact of many higher probability threats. This balancing act becomes even more critical given the importance of the broader energy sector to our economy, our standard of living and the defense of our country," stated Mr. Davignon.
